FAQ + delivery date + payment methods
- Why was I informed that insufficient tickets are available for my selection, even though sufficient tickets are indicated as being available?
- Should you be unable to select tickets despite enough being available, please check the zoom function on your internet browser. This should be set to 100%. Please correct accordingly.

- Stadium opening times
- The SIGNAL IDUNA PARK opens two-and-a-half (2 ½) hours before kick-off on match days. This can vary for big matches or on occasions when large events take place concurrently at the nearby Westfalenhalle.

Matchday tickets:
The matchday ticket offices are only open 4 ½ hours before kick-off on matchdays when the stadium is not sold out in advance. The number of ticket offices open depends on the number of remaining tickets available. Please check the Borussia Dortmund homepage for the latest information.Ticket upgrades:
Concessionary tickets, which persons not eligible for concessions wish to use, can be upgraded at the clearing offices. The upgrade can only be paid for in cash. - print@home (ticket.direct)

You can order your tickets for all BVB home matches in the Bundesliga via print@home (ticket.direct) – right up to kick-off when using a credit card. On successful completion of your booking, you will automatically receive an email and can then print your tickets at home. This saves long waiting times and queuing at the matchday ticket offices. You can also open and print your print@home ticket in your service area of the online ticket shop. Please ensure that your print@home ticket is printed in good quality. This will avoid problems scanning the ticket at the turnstiles.
Tickets for Borussia Dortmund home matches are also valid as tickets for all forms of local public transport (Verkehrsverbundes Rhein-Ruhr – VRR). This does not include iinter-city train services (IC and ICE trains). The ticket is valid for travel to and from the stadium on matchday.
- Purchasing tickets for away matches

The date for tickets for Borussia Dortmund away games going on sale depends on the host club. The date will be published on the homepage as soon as the tickets are made available to BVB. Tickets usually go on sale four weeks prior to the respective away match. In most cases, fan club members and club members have priority purchase rights for away tickets. Remaining tickets then go on general sale at all BVB ticket offices (not in the online ticket shop).
- How do I get confirmation of my booking?
- After you have entered all data necessary for your booking, please ensure everything is correct by checking the booking overview. You can correct any false data by clicking on the “correct data” button and updating the data entered. If your details are correct, you can then complete your booking. To do this, you need to accept the terms and conditions (click the box) and then click on “purchase”. You will then receive confirmation of your booking. You can bring your booking invoice up on the screen by clicking “booking preview”. In addition, you will receive an email with your booking invoice and the terms and conditions as a pdf document. Please keep your booking in a safe place in case of future queries.
- What do I do in the second step of registration?
- In the second step of the registration process, you can supply a delivery address different to the billing address already supplied, should you wish the tickets be delivered to an alternative address. You may not enter a PO Box or a Package recipient station (Packstation) as the alternative address.
- How do I change my user name?
- You can change your user name in the “service” area under log in details.
- How do I log in?

Customers already registered can log in to the online ticket shop via the relevant field on the start page.
Registration for new customers is part of the booking process. After selecting the required tickets, you will be directed to the registration page. Please enter your customer details to register with the online ticket shop. Please note that the fields marked in bold must be fully completed with the correct data, otherwise problems may arise in the booking process. Confirm your details by clicking “register”.
- Why do I need to enter my telephone number?
- Your telephone number is required in case our customer service team needs to contact you should unexpected problems arise (eg incorrect address details).
- Is it possible to order tickets from outside Germany?
- Ticket orders will be shipped only within Germany. Please note, that any ticket orders from outside Germany will not be sent. We will deposit those tickets on the matchday at the stadium. You will receive the tickets at the collection counter north (Strobelallee) on presentation of the invoice number and your photo identification. Another option is "print@home (ticket.direct)". You will receive your tickets via email and print them yourself. For further information please contact our customer service by email kundenservice-bvb@eventim.de or call 0049 40 555 558 809.
- What information is available in my shopping basket?
- Your shopping basket contains an overview of the selected tickets and any additional costs charged by the online ticket shop (eg processing fees). To add further tickets to the shopping basket, you need to click “select further tickets”. Should you wish to book the tickets in your shopping basket, please click “book selected tickets”. You can remove tickets from your shopping basket by clicking on the cancel button.
- Can I use the match ticket to travel on public transport?

Tickets for Borussia Dortmund home matches are also valid as tickets for all forms of local public transport (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr – VRR). The ticket is valid for travel to and from the stadium on matchday.
Please note that only the match ticket is valid as a travel pass and not the booking confirmation.
- What do I need to do in the „seat selection“ step?
- In „seat selection“ you can select your seat in the block overview. First you should enter the number of tickets required and click on an available seat in the block overview (grey = unavailable / coloured = available). The seats to the right of your selection will be automatically booked according to the number of seats required. To book tickets in a different block, click on the “select different tickets” button.
- How many tickets can I book in the online ticket shop?
- A maximum of 4 tickets per customer per game may be booked in the online ticket shop. For top matches, the limit is 2 tickets per customer. Borussia Dortmund also reserves the right to vary the ticket limit per customer for certain other matches.
- What concessions are available and where can I book tickets for wheelchair users?

There are no concession tickets available in the BVB online ticket shop. Tickets for wheelchair users can only be booked at the main ticket office.
Should you wish to book different tickets, please click “select different tickets”. Your ticket selection is confirmed by clicking on “proceed to booking”.
- What do I need to do in „block selection“?
- You can select the required block in the „block selection“ category by first selecting the stand (tribune) and then the respective block. You can select your preferred block via the stadium graphic (on the right) or via the block list (on the left). Please click on > price list for further information about the relevant price categories and concessions available in the respective block. An overview about the price categories in the block will appear in a new window.
- Where are the respective fan areas?

The BVB fan area can be found on the Südtribüne (south stand).
Certain blocks in the Nordtribüne (north stand) and the Nord-Ost (north-east) corner are reserved for away fans. You can order tickets for the away block from the respective visiting club. It is not possible to book tickets for this area in the BVB online ticket shop.
Please note that entry to the entire Süd (south) area (S/W, Süd, S/O) will be refused to fans wearing away colours. This also applies to fans in BVB colours wishing to enter the away section (Block 60, 61, as well as tickets purchased from the visiting club in blocks 70, 75, 55-59).
- Which tickets can I book in the BVB online ticket shop?

You can book all tickets available on general sale for Borussia Dortmund home matches in the BVB online ticket shop. Tickets usually go on sale around 4 weeks before matchday. The German Football League (DFL) determines the exact kick-off time and date around 6 weeks before matchday.
You can order tickets for away matches via the email contact form on the homepage or send a written request by post to:

- What do I do if I have not yet received the tickets I ordered?

Should tickets booked online using the „postal dispatch“ option have not arrived 3 days before kick-off at the latest, please contact kundenservice-bvb@eventim.de via email immediately giving your name and booking reference number. Alternatively, call +(0)40 555 558 809 (from German landlines). This also applies to tickets booked via print@home (ticket.direct) if you do not receive an email to the address supplied or you cannot open the email.
If you reserved your tickets for collection at the stadium, you can do so by presenting your invoice number and photo identification to the collection point Nord (Strobelallee).
- How secure is the booking in the online ticket shop?
- An SSL encryption ensures a secure booking in our online ticket shop. You can usually recognize this by the "https://" internet address. The “s” is the symbol for an SSL encryption of data upon entering the online ticket shop.
- What methods of payment are accepted in the online ticket shop?

The main methods of payment for your order are credit card and direct debit (this can vary in some cases).
Select your preferred method of payment and enter the relevant data. Please ensure that your bank details are complete and correct in order to guarantee the successful booking of your tickets. It is also imperative that the bank account provided allows for a direct debit; savings accounts are excluded from this process, for example. Direct debit is only possible from German bank accounts. When you have ensured that your data is complete and correct, click (once) on “continue”.
If the direct debit is not possible from the account entered, your bank will levy an additional charge at your own cost.
Credit cards::
Mastercard, VISA and American Express cards are accepted for payment.Credit card validation code:
To increase booking security, you will be required to enter your card validation code (CVC). This is a three, or four digit number which does not appear on your billing invoice, unlike your name and card number.The CVC on VISA cards is the last three digits in the signature field on the back of the card and on Mastercards the last three digits of the number next to the signature field. On American Express cards, it is the four digit number printed on the right-, or left-hand side of the front of the card.
- What is the purpose of the service area?
- The service area is available after successfully completing the registration process. As well as administering your data for the billing address, you can change your personal log in details in the service area. In the booking overview you will find details of your previous bookings in the online ticket shop and can check the status of current bookings. If you booked your tickets using print@home (ticket.direct), you can call up and print your tickets here (note: the status will remain “yellow”, as the ticket will always remain printable). Please consult the legend for an explanation of the symbols. You can open an invoice preview of the respective bookings above the print symbol.
- How do I receive my tickets and how much are postal and processing fees?

The following methods of delivery are available in the online ticket shop:
- Postage: 6 euros
After payment has been completed, your tickets will be sent by registered post. Booking tickets via postal method is usually possible up to 6 days before matchday. - Collection: 2 euros
Your tickets will be reserved for collection at the stadium. You can collect your tickets from the collection point Nord (Strobelallee) at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK as of 2 ½ hours before kick-off. You will need to present the invoice number and photo identification. Booking tickets for collection is usually possible after the postal deadline has expired (5 days before matchday). - print@home (ticket.direct): 1.50 euros
Your tickets will be sent in the confirmation email along with the billing invoice and the terms and conditions after completion of the booking process. Booking via print@home with a credit card is usually possible until shortly before kick-off. - Collection foreign order: 2 euros
We will deposit those tickets on the matchday at the stadium. You will receive the tickets at the collection counter north (Strobelallee) on presentation of the invoice number and your photo identification.
Please note that methods of delivery are subject to change and may vary for certain matches.
- Postage: 6 euros
- What do I need to do in the „match selection“? How can I register as a user?
- You can select the required home matches in the booking step „match selection“. Please click > Order. You can then find information about the stadium and the amount of remaining tickets via the icons provided. Registered customers can log in by entering their user name and password into the “user log in” box. New customers can select a user name and password during the booking process.
- What does the status „order in process“ mean on my tickets ordered via "print@home (ticketdirect)"?
- The status „order in process“ means that the tickets are available for printing. The status of tickets ordered via "print@home (ticketdirect)" will not change to green but rather remain yellow as long as the order has not been cancelled (red).
